Alfama is Lisbon's oldest quarter - a maze of narrow streets, tile-covered buildings, and hidden squares. **Route:** Start at São Jorge Castle (dogs allowed in grounds), wind down through the narrow streets to the waterfront. **Dog Notes:** All outdoor. Cobblestones are rough on paws - take breaks. Many small squares to rest. **Highlights:** Amazing miradouros (viewpoints), traditional tascas (taverns), authentic Lisbon atmosphere.
