Monte de El Pardo

El Pardo is a massive protected forest north of Madrid - still used for state functions but partially open to public. **Landscape:** Mediterranean oak forest, rolling hills, wildlife. Deer, wild boar, eagles. Truly wild. **Access:** Limited access - check which trails are open. Worth the trip for a real nature experience. **Dogs:** Off-leash generally fine on public trails. Wildlife is wild - keep dogs under control.
