Madrid Summer Dog Safety

Madrid summers are HOT (regularly 38-40°C). Protect your dog: **Timing:** Walk early morning (before 9am) and late evening (after 9pm). NEVER midday. **Pavement Test:** If it's too hot for your hand for 5 seconds, it's too hot for paws. Burns happen fast. **Hydration:** Always carry water. Many parks have fountains. Signs of overheating: excessive panting, drooling, lethargy. **Cool Spots:** Many bars have AC and welcome dogs. Museums generally don't allow dogs. Large parks have shaded areas.
