Richmond Park

Parks & Nature in London

Richmond Park

About this place

Richmond Park is a National Nature Reserve covering 2,500 acres, making it London's largest enclosed space. It's a paradise for dogs who love long walks in nature. **Important Rules:** Dogs must be kept under close control due to the 600+ wild deer that roam freely. During deer birthing (May) and rutting (September-November) seasons, extra care is needed. **Walking Routes:** The Tamsin Trail is a popular 7.2-mile path around the park's perimeter. Isabella Plantation is a stunning woodland garden (dogs on leads only inside). **Wildlife:** Beyond deer, you'll see parakeets, woodpeckers, and if lucky, owls. The ancient oaks are over 700 years old.
