About this place

Walthamstow Wetlands is a remarkable nature reserve in the middle of London - 520 acres of reservoirs and wetlands that are home to incredible wildlife. **Dog Rules:** Dogs welcome but must be on leads throughout to protect the wildlife. This is strictly enforced - it's a nature reserve with important bird populations. **Experience:** Boardwalk trails, Victorian engine house visitor center, excellent café. Binoculars recommended for bird spotting. Herons, cormorants, and rare bitterns can be seen. **Tips:** Best visited on quieter weekdays. The Engine House café welcomes dogs in outdoor seating.
